Streszczenie
Praca opisuje metody diagnostyki ciąży stosowane u kawii, królika, chomika oraz fretki. Ponadto jest w niej opisana specyfika cyklu płciowe wymienionych gatunków, których znajomość jest istotna dla lekarza weterynarii pełniącego opiekę nad małymi ssakami. W artykule opisano badania ultrasonograficzne, palpacyjne, a także parametry krwi pomocne w diagnostyce ciąży wymienionych gatunków.

Abstract
The present paper describes the methods of pregnancy diagnosis used in guinea pig, rabbit, hamster and ferret. Moreover, it describes the specificity of the sexual cycle of the mentioned species, knowledge of which is important for a veterinarian caring for small mammals. The article describes ultrasound and palpation examinations, as well as blood parameters helpful in the diagnosis of pregnancy in the mentioned species.
