Streszczenie
Rezonans magnetyczny jest najdokładniejszą metodą obrazową do oceny wielkości jam serca, czynności serca, żywotności serca, obecności skrzeplin wewnątrzsercowych i guzów serca. Jest uważany za „złoty standard” w diagnostyce wrodzonych i nabytych wad budowy serca. Zainteresowanie tą metodą rośnie w medycynie weterynaryjnej, a niniejszy artykuł przybliża tę technikę w kardiologii oraz jej rolę w diagnostyce ARVC.

Abstract
Magnetic resonance imaging is the most accurate method to assess the size of the heart chambers, heart function, vitality of the heart, presence of intracardiac thrombi and cardiac tumors. It is considered the „gold standard” in the diagnosis of congenital and acquired heart structure defects. The interest in the use of MRI in veterinary medicine is growing. The paper describes this technique in cardiology and the role of MRI in ARVC diagnosis.
